Grind ‘N’ Crepe

On our last visit to the beautiful riverside town of Occoquan, we stopped by Grind ‘N’ Crepe, a family-owned coffee shop and creperie!

Like many shops in Occoquan, Grind ‘N’ Crepe is tucked back between a couple of buildings and its front door can be a challenge to find.

It’s surrounded by the shop’s ample outdoor seating.

The vibrant, eclectic decor continues indoors, where you can order at the counter or watch the crepe artists at work.

Some walls showcased art from locals, but most featured bright, sweeping murals. We treated them like Rorschach tests and looked for hidden images. (I think I found a koala!)

Coffee & Crepes

Grind ‘N’ Crepe offers a robust coffee and beverage menu that includes espresso, macchiatos, frappes, nitro cold brew, and drip coffee.

I ordered an iced coffee, but they had quickly run out already that morning. They were happy to replace my order with a nitro cold brew, which was delicious.

Of course, we also ordered crepes!

The Lemon Drop is drizzled with lemon juice and dusted with powdered sugar.
The Uncle Scott crepe is filled with Nutella and strawberries.

The crepes were delicious! The filled ones, sweet or savory, are around $9 each.

We waited longer than expected to receive our food. During that time, many mobile orders went out, so I suspect the kitchen was very busy!

Overall Impression

We enjoyed the bright and playful atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly, helpful staff at Grind ‘N’ Crepe. We will definitely return!
